Runway to Real Life: Summer 2024's Most Wearable Trends  

We at SK Textiles pride ourselves in getting to know seasonal fashion trends, and this season we have been very busy researching and building a beautiful fabric range for YOU – our main source of inspiration. Here are our “Runway take aways” created especially for you from Paris Fashion Week SS24.
     
QUIET LUXURY is the overall Direction of SS24. Minimal sophistication is one of the key looks created by bringing together simple fabrics and colours. White linen dresses play a key role here. Essential cotton shirts made in our 100 % cotton poplin with soft suiting offer a strong message in powerful Femininity seen at Valentino, straight off the Runway. Crisp clean poplin shirts and tailored satin skirts offer the right look for the City Slicker. City dressing grows in importance as many more ladies head back to work. SK’s soft suiting, available in traditional suiting colours offer ideal drape for tailored suits and soft trousers. The powerful woman in a timeless wardrobe. Quiet Luxury sees classic simple stripes, SK’s Sardinian linen rayon blend is a perfect stripe for relaxed Chic in neutral colours. Our Capri and sun-drenched stripes offer bolder sophistication. Pure linen and Linen blends have gained huge momentum, and our range has grown extensively. This fabric fits well into Quiet Luxury giving cool coastal vibes.        

SILKY SMOOTH and SULTRY Satin and sheen are luxurious fabrics with soft drape and hand feel. Little effort with maximum impact goes a long way. Our Armani satin and new incoming Versace Satins are perfect dressing up items for smarter occasions in Quiet Luxury themed elegance. DELICATE DRESSING Sheers evoke an ethereal world of floaty sophistication. Long flowing chiffon dresses and blouses are chic with clean Victoria Beckham lines. Our Zaria Cat satin print will add spice to your wardrobe, while keeping you looking sophisticated and chic. Red yoru Kaia print is especially beautiful for a vibrant pop of colour. Styling is all in the softness of the fabric giving outerwear a chic and feminine look and feel. Nylon Blends Lead the Way for SS24. Nylon blends continue for SS24, with more interesting finishes. Slubby and space dyed wovens are seen in our Nina quality, and SK’s new natural airflow with linen content. Avah airflow continues in popularity and is a great vehicle for colour.   Taslons paper touch hand feel is carefree and sporty. Adding another layer with a taslon trench coat offers versatility to effortless dressing. Island Crinkle is a crumpled and creased update offering the Utility theme some spice in your core essentials.

Fluidity runs through our BON-BON Supple Bon-Bon offers lustre and drape in fluid like knits, which makes for versatile Beach to Bar styles. Our Bon-Bon quality is key for vacation and travel dressing with matte or sheen finishes, and non-crease “ easy to pack “ impact.   Bubble and textured knits add craftiness to cute comfy summery tops and maxi dresses. Introducing Julia - our new textured Knit preceding Chloe. A beautiful blistery knit in intense plum, and basic white and black.
